The Heatit Z-Temp3 thermostat is primarily powered by two AAA batteries but can also be connected to an external 3.3V DC power source for continuous operation. To facilitate this, Heatit offers an optional accessory called the Heatit Transformer 230VAC, which includes the necessary cable for connecting the thermostat to an external power supply.
If you already have an external power supply, you can use the Heatit CEP Cable. ·Red wire: Connects to the 3.3V DC positive terminal. ·Black wire: Connects to the ground (0V DC). Ensure that your external power supply provides a stable 3.3V DC output and that the connections are secure to prevent any operational issues. Always double-check the polarity to avoid potential damage to the thermostat.
By connecting the Heatit Z-Temp3 to an external power source, you can maintain continuous operation without the need to replace batteries, which is especially beneficial in setups where consistent performance is critical.
