Purchase & Delivery Terms for Private Customers

Heatit.com is operated by Heatit Controls AB in Sweden with corporate identity number (CIN) 559108-9866.

1. General terms of purchase
In order to shop at Heatit.com, you will need to be 18 or have permission by a legal guardian. By sending your order, you have approved the purchase and these purchase conditions. VAT is included in all prices (except in the case of sales outside the EU such as Norway and Switzerland – other countries and territories may also apply). Shipping costs will be added where applicable. Shipping cost will be shown in the check-out.

Any use and/or sales in the United States or Canada is outside of our warranty.
No warranty will be given on a device used or sold in the United States or Canada.

1.1 Import charges
For deliveries to countries outside the European union, you may be subject to pay local import tariffs, VAT or Sales tax charges if your order is passing through your local customs office.

It’s the customers full responsibility to cover these fees and local taxes.

2. Card payment
For customers outside Sweden, we use DIBS internet and 3D Secure which is the standard that Visa/Mastercard has jointly developed and which is the safest payment method over the internet today. When purchasing via a debit/credit card, the terms and conditions will begin to apply as soon as the card transaction has been approved. No extra fee is charged for card payment.

3. Unclaimed packages
For goods that you as a customer do not redeem, we charge a cost for shipping, return shipping and handling totaling 40 EURO. In the rear case of bulky shipments, extra shipping costs of 30 EURO (a total of 70 EURO) will also be added.

4. Deliveries
For deliveries, we cooperate with different shipping forwarders. We can normally send your order within 1-2 business days, which means that you as a customer should get what you ordered within 3-8 business days depending on your location. At holidays, high season and special occasions, deliveries may take a few days extra.

5. Return Policy & Regress
Heatit Controls AB wants you to be satisfied with what you buy from us and apply 30-day return policy. Returned goods purchased on Heatit.com must be in unbroken packaging and in the same condition as at the time of delivery. At the exchange, the customer is responsible for the return shipping to us.

Always contact us before returning via post@heatit.com. Please include the order number given to you when placing the order in the subject-field in the email. This is to ensure that the e-mail are correctly handled in the return and service-systems of Heatit.Controls AB.

5.1 Regress
If a customer regrets a purchase from Heatit.com and wants to return the products, the package must be unbroken and in the same condition as at the time of delivery. ALWAYS contact us before the return is made. The right of withdrawal is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Contact us either by email or phone. In the event of a regretted purchase, the customer is responsible for the return shipping. The returned package must be sent as a company parcel. We do not have the possibility to collect parcels from the postal services

Heatit Controls AB underlines the risk of inaccuracies, misprints etc on the website and in the documentation sent with the products. Heatit Controls AB thus does not automatically take responsibility for problems related to these errors.

6. Claims
For claims, you should always start by sending an email to post@heatit.com.

Describe in the email why you want to make a claim and attach documentation of the damage or problems with the product. This can be in the form of photos, written documents and statements. Make sure that you also enclose your order number and customer number to the initial e-mail. Depending on the type of product and the damage involved, the handling time for claims are estimated to take between 1-3 weeks. Heatit Controls AB try to solve it as soon as possible and you’ll be given a ticket number in our service-system ensuring a complete documentation of the process and a way to have case-specific communication with us.

7. Transport Damage
If a product from Heatit.com is damaged in transit, regardless of whether the damage is well visible or hidden, this must be notified immediately to the shipper or pick-up point and us at post@heatit.com. A visible damage should be claimed the same day. Hidden damage must be filed within 7 business days.

Save all products and packaging so that the shipper can inspect if needed. You may need to submit photos of the damaged goods / packaging. Make sure that you documents the damages well by use of photos etc. Heatit Controls AB does take responsibility for the shipment being packaged correctly. If the packaging of the goods has visible damage, it is important that you ask the delivery representative or the driver to document it when receiving the goods.

8. Warranty, product information and usage
For all purchases Swedish consumer purchase law are followed and applied.  This means that all products sold via Heatit.com have at least one year product guarantee. The warranty applies to manufacturing defects, and not handling errors or wear out.

If you feel unsure of the warranty or the instructions included with your product, please contact Heatit Controls AB prior to use so any questions may be answered before using the received products. Please use all products in accordance with their intended use. Heatit Controls AB does not take responsibility for any injuries or damages caused by the wrongful use of the received products.

Some products sold on Heatit.com need to be mounted by a trained electrician. Any damages as a result of unprofessional or poor mounting are not Heatit Controls ABs responsibility. Make sure that you document the mounting process in terms of how it’s being mounted, who is mounting the products and when.

9. Force Majeure
Heatit Controls AB is exempt from the penalty for failure to fulfill certain obligations under this agreement, if the omission has its basis in liberating circumstances as described below and the circumstance prevents, impedes or delays the performance. As liberating circumstance shall be considered, including government action or omission, new or changed legislation, conflict on the labor market, blockade, fire, flood, sabotage, major accident or other type of natural disaster. In force majeure, government decisions include those that negatively affect the market and products, eg. restrictions on indication, warning texts, sales prohibitions etc, abnormal decline in the market and if the company has been subjected to criminal activity that affects the business.

MyHeatit Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy
In this Privacy Policy (Hereinafter referred to as "Policy"), Heatit Controls AS (Hereinafter referred to as "we", "our" or "Heatit") and our subsidiaries, provide information about how we collect, use, store & process and transfer personal data. For this Policy, we use the term "personal data" broadly to cover the many privacy and data protection laws applicable to us. "Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual ; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person."

Scope
This Policy applies to MyHeatit and covers only data collected through the MyHeatit mobile app and not any other data collection or processing, including, without limitation, data collection practices of other services that maintain their own, separate privacy policies.

What personal data is collected by MyHeatit?

  • Information you provide during setup: When you install MyHeatit, you will be asked to provide personal information such as Email Address and place of residence.
  • Usage information: We collect data about activities you perform in MyHeatit, like changing any setting of the controlled devices.
  • Performance information from controlled devices: We collect information like the configuration and state published by the controlled devices, including temperature readings and energy consumption data.
  • Technical information from your Smart Phone: To improve your experience over time and help troubleshoot any problem you may encounter with MyHeatit, we collect Phone make & model and OS version.

Where We Store and Process Data
We store and process all the relevant information in Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1 region) only after explicit consent from individual who personal data is stored and processed.

Data Retention
The data is retained as long as you are an active user on our system. We will notify you after the login is identified as dormant for "one year" and will delete the login and associate data after "ninety days" of notification.

Data related to Minors
If you are under 18 years old or you are a minor pursuant to the laws and regulations of the place in which you reside, we recommend you to ask your parents or guardians to read this Policy and use our services or provide your information to us with the prior consent from your parents or guardians. If your guardians do not allow you to use our services or provide your information to us according to this Policy, please stop using our services immediately and give a notice on time so that we can react accordingly. Heatit do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from anyone under 18 years old. Heatit will keep personal information of minors confidential and safe in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Privacy Principles

  • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: The personal data we collected from you is processed as per the purpose known to you while taking consent and to meet our contractual obligations.
  • Purpose Limitation: We process your personal information for legitimate purposes, we will further notify you if the original purpose is changed.

  • Request access to the personal data we process about you. This right entitles you to know whether we hold personal data about you and, if we do, to obtain information on and a copy of that personal data.
  • Request a rectification of your personal data. This right entitles you to have your personal data be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Object to the processing of your personal data. This right entitles you to request that we no longer process your personal data.
  • Request the erasure of your personal data. This right entitles you to request the erasure of your personal data, including where such personal data would no longer be necessary to achieve the purposes. You can delete your account using the phone apps for this.
  • Request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. This right entitles you to request that we only process your personal data in limited circumstances, including with your consent.
  • Request portability of your personal data. This right entitles you to receive a copy (in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format) of personal data that you have provided to us.
  • Withdraw of Consent. To the extent that the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within a reasonable time from when the request was made, and thereafter not collect, use and/or disclose your personal data as per your request.
  • Complaint. You can also complain to the authority if you are unhappy with how we have used your data.

As part of our application functionality, we have integrated third-party plug-ins or components in our mobile application to provide you the smooth sign-in option. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed, including their intent or behavior by those external sources or websites. This Policy applies solely to the information collected by us through our Site. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party plug-ins or components or website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Site. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application (including Alexa, Google Voice Asssistant, etc.), then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application.
